Client: Filmtronics, Inc.

Size: 18,000 Square Feet / 1672 Square Meters

Filmtronics is a fully earth integrated laboratory and manufacturing facility for semi-conductors.

Filmtronics is a leading supplier of advanced process materials used throughout the semiconductor, photovoltaic, photonics, nanotechnology, and display industries.

The buildings earth integrated design concept combined with extensive day lighting, energy efficient mechanical systems and controls, makes Filmtronics a very environmentally responsible building. Other design considerations include heat recovery ventilation and fume hoods, clean room technology, non toxic finishes, anti static control and water conserving fixtures. Voice, power, cable and data are distributed through surface wiring systems or cable trays to provide system flexibility and adaptability.

Filmtronics proves that passive solar design, daylighting, extreme energy conservation, and building systems integration can be done in ways that meet very challenging programming requirements.
